There is plenty to do in Park City! If you’ve been riding hard and want a break, or if you are just looking for something a little different, try out some of these other activities. When you are finished, top it off with a visit to one of the 130 restaurants in Park City.

Alpine rock climbing is a big thrill, and fun for first time beginners and serious adventurers. There’s great climbing nearby in the Uinta Mountains and in Big Cottonwood Canyon. For guided Alpine rock climbing and equipment rental:

There’s a ton of hiking around Park City. Virtually all of the bike trails are equally well suited to hiking, and you will see several trailheads with designations for right-of-way among horses, hikers and bikers.

Fly fishing around Park City is terrific, and much of it is only twenty to forty minutes outside of town. The Provo River is a Blue Ribbon trout stream, and there are ponds and other streams in the area that serve up trophies as well. For guiding services, lessons and equipment rentals:

This isn’t riding kids’ ponies around a fenced paddock; this is riding real Western horses up and down steep mountain trails, and it’s great. If you still want to spend time in the mountains, but your legs are tired and you want the horsepower to be supplied for you, horseback riding is a great break from your bike, and your butt will be sore in different places! Check out Red Pine Adventures or Red Ledges in nearby Heber City for a thoroughly Western experience.

There are half a dozen great public or semi-private (guests welcome) courses within twenty minutes of Park City.

There are public courts at the northwest end of City Park, and Park City Municipal Athletic & Rec Center offers 4 indoor and 7 outdoor courts.

Prime IV

Prime IV Park City helps a variety of people with quality IV treatments and injections in a relaxing spa environment to improve nutrition, athletic performance, increase energy, and meet personal health goals. Mobile IV service is also available.

In addition to having lots of mountain bike trails, and providing lift access for bikers who don’t want to climb all the way up, Park City Base Area also has a mountain version of an amusement park at its base area. There’s an alpine slide, alpine coaster, miniature golf, trampolines with harnesses, a climbing wall, rocket sleds, a zip line, and a bunch of other stuff.
